Oh, I’ve done this before…
You may have had a start at getting your forms online but got sidetracked, or perhaps the person who had been responsible has left, and now you’re wondering where and how to pick up the tasks.
First, it might be a good idea to check our page for those just starting out, which might jog your memory on where in the process you are.
If you are a local authority, do also have a look at the most up-to-date Formality and URL list, which is always found on the ELMS live page, in the Related documents section on the right hand side. Check that your list of formalities is correct. If corrections are needed, resubmit the Task 5 spreadsheet if it is an issue with what is on the list, and/or the Task 8 spreadsheet if the problem is with tacit consent or other settings.
If you got past the most important tasks listed on the starter page, you should now focus on tasks 14-17.
Where can I find help?
Help is available in many forms on the ELMS portal.
Our Training pages contain a lot of useful pointers if you need to refresh your memory a bit on how to complete tasks. Look through the Training documentation section, which offers manuals on many aspects of the compliance process. We also offer a set of video tutorials, which show you step by step how to accomplish the various stages. Finally, even if you are partway through, you might still benefit from signing up to one of our regularly offered webinars, which are live, online demonstrations of how to operate ELMS from an administrator's point of view. You will connect online and via the phone with our Technical Support Analyst, who will then either give you a general introduction or guide you through the areas you find problematic.
We also offer an extensive FAQ section with questions and answers broken down by topics and tasks. Here, you can request edits to questions and/or answers as well as propose a new ‘frequently asked question’.
If you have read through documentation and tried the other training options listed above and still need help, have a read through our Contacts page to find the appropriate channel to direct your enquiry to.
